This 446,152 s.f. structural steel frame building with precast fascia panels will provide for the relocation of Bull HN´s World Headquarters and the operations of three other Bull HN office facilities in the Boston area, saving Bull HN 100,000 s.f. of office space.

This new facility will house offices and the main 30,000 s.f. Computer Center. The work site is located adjacent to an existing Bull HN engineering and administration complex in Billerica, MA. Together the facilities will form the new World Headquarters of Bull HN Information Systems Inc.

Bay State Design, Inc. was selected by Bull HN to be their A/E consultant to review the design of the base building and to design all tenant finishout, which is valued at $12.5 million.

One of the major design considerations for this 4-story building, with floor areas of 100,000 s.f. was to impact scale and orientation to the employees and visitors in the building. This was achieved by dividing each floor into north, south, and central wings and organizing the office and support areas with a prominent circulation spine, which by its design allows orientation by floor and to the outside of the building. The facility contains separate employee and visitor entrances, an executive office area, a 425-seat full-service general dining area, a central Conference Center of over 25,000 s.f., a 30,000 s.f. Computer Center, a Customer Service Center, and a Fitness Center.
