Lucent's Special Fiber Technologies group had recently built a 63,940 SF shell building on their existing 46,000 SF building. Their goal for the renovations and fit-up was to provide a flexible framework for accommodating future product lines required in the marketplace. In addition, a new manufacturing process was being created at this location in a Class 10,000 clean room space. Working with the various departments, detailed tool and equipment layouts were generated. This included a relocation of the warehousing and recycle areas. The project was designed in two phases.
